Calyx Software Unveils New Development Kit

By James Comtois

James ComtoisSAN JOSE, CA-As a means of enabling a more efficient integration between users and its product, Calyx Software here has released its Point Software Development Kit. The new product facilitates integration with a client's internal applications or with third party vendors seeking compatibility with Calyx Point LOS.

Point SDK serves as a two-way interface, providing the ability to read information from or write information into Point. It enables a company to develop applications that can access Point loan data from local folders or from Point Data Server, the company's central system for managing distributed data between offices.

Dennis Boggs, senior vice president of Calyx Software, said in a statement that Calyx's newest offering enables companies to integrate their current customer relationship management system, sales tools, lead generation software or any other back office systems with Calyx Point.

"The Software Development Kit allows the transfer of data to and from Point and other business applications, streamlining company processes," said Mr. Boggs.

According to the company, Point SDK requires Calyx Point version 6.1 or later and a .NET 2.0 compatible development tool.

Separately, Calyx has recently expanded the Calyx Network with a new network interface update. The May update contains a new connection to an additional mortgage service provider: First Integrity Title Agency LLC.

Updates are automatically installed into Calyx Point, and new providers are added to the application on a bi-monthly basis. The Calyx Network Interface update is automatically installed into Point versions 5.2 and higher when users open their software and connect to the Internet.

Calyx recently reported from January to April 2008 12.2 million distinct business transactions took place on 4.3 million Calyx Point loan files from 35,000 companies.
